Planning our Round-the-World Trip

Posted on 15 August 2018 by tinkamar

P’s company is (supposedly) sending him around the world to install cyber security systems. I say supposedly because they’re all about last minute changes. The night before he was originally supposed to leave, the plant he was supposed to visit declared they weren’t ready for him, so the trip was delayed. Its easy for P to cancel or change plane tickets and reservations because the company pays or has free cancellation agreements, but when the girls and I have to make changes it’s not so easy.

This delay was an absolute blessing, though because I wasn’t ready to leave just yet – my heart wasn’t in it. The main reason was that my grandfather died recently and my grandmother was planning to come visit us. She had never been to see our house and I wanted to spend some time with her.
